JPMorgan Chase & Co. is pushing ahead with plans to feed decades’ worth of client data into smart technologies, with an eye to boost customer services, said Manuela Veloso, the bank’s head of artificial-intelligence research. But before doing any of that, she added, the bank’s older data needs to be cleaned up to be plugged into more advanced information-technology systems.
