The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has been allotted at least 30,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines for prisoners. Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Thursday that the National Task Force against COVID-19 committed to deliver the vaccines directly to the prison facilities in two to three days. ADVERTISEMENTAs of Nov. 19, according to BuCor, 37,513 or 77 percent of the total 48,539 prisoners in seven prison facilities have at least been partially vaccinated against COVID-19.
