Over the years teams have traditionally turned up at Ibrox in a state of anxiety, even trepidation, about what’s in store for them against Rangers. It is the famed “aura” enjoyed by most huge clubs against a smaller visitor, as all but one of them are in Scotland. There have been times when it almost has been worth a goal of a start for Rangers when teams turn up with their knees knocking.
