Abid Hussain, an assistant professor at Jamia Millia Islamia University, who had been suspended in February over allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct, has now been cleared of all charges, resulting in the lifting of his suspension. This decision comes after both the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and an inquiry committee concluded their investigations into the accusations against Hussain, a member of the Department of Psychology. Dismissing the accusations as a conspiracy by other faculty members, Hussain expressed relief at being exonerated but lamented the personal toll his ten-month suspension had taken on his life. He highlighted the absence of mechanisms to address false complaints and expressed gratitude for the truth prevailing in the investigation.
