Former Liverpool defender Carragher was quizzed about Liverpool’s title chances after the win at Newcastle and feels his old club must bring in a new defender and a new midfielder before the summer transfer window closes. ‘Liverpool have been Manchester City’s biggest rivals for the last four or five years, and Arsenal came to the fore last season,’ Carragher said. ‘That has to happen because Liverpool can still be the biggest rivals to Manchester City.
