Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman Anwar Hossain Manju has withdrawn from the parliamentary elections, choosing not to submit his nomination papers. He had collected nomination papers for the Pirojpur-2 constituency but ultimately decided against contesting. Speaking on Monday, the last day of submission, the former minister said: “I had picked up nomination papers to contest the Pirojpur-2 seat, which includes Kawkhali, Bhandaria and Nesarabad Upazilas. But due to health issues, I will not be running. Manju has previously represented this constituency six times in parliament between 1988 and 2018.
