Jatiya Party’s Anwar Hossain Manju withdraws from election

Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman Anwar Hossain Manju has withdrawn from the parliamentary elections, choosing not to submit his nomination papers. He had collected nomination papers for the Pirojpur-2 constituency but ultimately decided against contesting. Speaking on Monday, the last day of submission, the former minister said: “I had picked up nomination papers to contest the Pirojpur-2 seat, which includes Kawkhali, Bhandaria and Nesarabad Upazilas. But due to health issues, I will not be running. Manju has previously represented this constituency six times in parliament between 1988 and 2018.
