Derby Crown Court heard how, a month later, Sam Thomas attacked the same victim in a Spondon pub by repeatedly punching him to the face, having wrapped a dog chain around his fist. Then, while on bail for those offences Thomas was stopped in a car and threw a bag containing £2,800 of cocaine from the passenger seat window.
