This terrorist atrocity must be condemned for what it is: An act of sheer evil targeting Muslims. Jewish tradition teaches that every person is created in the divine image and that one who takes a single life destroys an entire world. Those who target Muslims for mass murder, whether in Christchurch or in Quebec City, are destroyers of life and enemies of humanity. Their clear goal is to divide citizens, intimidate Muslims, and signal that Muslims are not welcome in our society.
