Jigjiga Hospital Named After Meles Zenawi Changing Its NameSeptember 29, 2018 - Reflecting the changing times, a referral hospital in Jigjiga city, the capital of Somali regional state, is dropping its former name and assuming a new one. The hospital in question is Meles Zenawi Memorial Referral Hospital located in Jigjiga, Somali regional state of Ethiopia. The corner stone for the hospital was laid by former Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi in 2011. It was inaugurated in 2006 by former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn. Many is these groups strongly condemn the policies promoted by Meles Zenawi.
