Kelly would be stepping down as White House chief of staff. Kelly’s relationship with Trump has reportedly gone sour, and he will become the third chief of staff to depart in under two years. And Trump appears to be having trouble finding someone willing to step into the position. Nick Ayers, Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff, turned down the offer, and various other Trump allies have already signaled that they don’t want the job.
