Connacht's Joe Joyce is to depart the Western province at the end of the season as he returns to the Gallagher Premiership after penning a deal with Gloucester. Joyce was with Bristol Bears from 2014-2023 where he made 150 appearances then he linked up with Connacht in 2023 and has made 46 appearances to date. The 6’5’’ and 119kg second rower will add size and power to the Gloucester pack ahead of the 2026/27 season. Speaking on signing Joyce Gloucester's Director of Rugby George Skivington said “we’re really pleased to bring Joe back over to the Gallagher PREM for next season.
