Speaking as the Special Guest of Honour at the commissioning ceremony held on February 25, 2026, Dr Jinapor said the facility represents an important milestone in strengthening Ghana’s electricity value chain. He indicated that the establishment of the plant opens doors for innovation, job creation, and increased local participation in the energy industry. Dr Jinapor stressed that without proper metering, utilities cannot effectively account for electricity supplied, measure losses accurately, or ensure fair billing for consumers. “With the establishment of MBH Power’s manufacturing plant here in Ghana, we have taken a bold step towards local production,” he stated.
