Mr. Lewis is correct to question the legitimacy of this president-elect, who won the election with the help of Russian hackers and rampant disinformation. Donald Trump and his associates are claiming that the civil rights icon John Lewis’s opinion that Mr. Trump’s presidency is illegitimate is unfair and undeserved. Of course, Mr. Trump’s presidency is technically legitimate, but in the popular use of the word, it is suspect.
