John Swinney has spoken out against banning gender ideology in Scots schools amidst concerns about the impact it is having on children. Gender neutral toilets have also been installed in a number of educational establishments across the country. Ministers and officials are meant to be reviewing the Cass report into gender affirmation care for children and teenagers but have delayed a decision on this until after the General Election. He said: "I was the education secretary who encouraged the introduction of LGBT inclusive education within Scottish schools. The UK Department for Education introduced draft guidance for schools which states that schools should not teach about the concept of gender identity.
