JOHOR BARU: Johor DAP has issued an official apology to the Sultan of Johor over an online posting made by one of its members with an insulting tone towards Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim on Facebook. “The status posted on his private Facebook account was rude, and does not reflect a person who has respect for the royal institution. Meanwhile, Johor MCA Youth Chief Ling Tian Soon has urged the state government to take action against the councillor. “As someone who was trusted and given the mandate as a local councillor, Kamarul should have understood better his role and function,” he said. He added that the state government has also not taken any rational action in defending the royal institution in Johor.
