Joseph Sung to take up role in Singapore's NTU


Former Chinese University of Hong Kong president, Joseph Sung Jao-yiu, said he will take up a new role at the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore as Dean of Medicine and Senior Vice President starting March next year. He pointed out that he does not consider himself leaving the city as his family and mother are still living in Hong Kong. Sung also told his friends in academia in Hong Kong that he is not playing as their competitor team. "On the contrary, I hope my move can help to bring Hong Kong and Singapore closer in academic collaborations," he said. "Our higher education in Hong Kong and Singapore has a lot of similarities, but at the same time, we are unique in many ways.
