The loss in the gold medal match adds to Pellielo's near misses. Croatia's Josip Glasnovic has captured gold in men's trap at the Rio Olympics after defeating Italy's Giovanni Pellielo in a final match that went to a shoot-off. Glasnovic and Pellielo each hit 13 of 15 targets in the gold medal match and were on the mark with their first three in the shoot-off. The world record holder has a pair of silver medals and a bronze in trap, but no gold. Glasnovic calmly hit his fourth and triumphantly raised his gun in the air as pink dust from the target blew in the gusting wind.
