Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the son of ousted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, has visited his mother in India, according to a report by the Hindustan Times. Joy, who resides in the United States, arrived in India shortly before Eid-ul-Azha, which took place on Jun 7. His mother Hasina has been living in exile in New Delhi since the Awami League government fell in August, which she headed as prime minister. Indian authorities have yet to issue any official remarks regarding the visit, says the Hindustan Times. The source also said that Joy is the first visitor Hasina received since she arrived in India almost a year ago.
