Police said David Nduati Kimani allegedly killed the two at 11pm on Tuesday, May 18. The shooting incident was reported by two prison wardens, Dennis Mbungu and Nelson Mandela Katee, who heard gunshot sounds emanating from Kimani’s house. Duty officer Mutisya said after, allegedly, killing Mwende and her child, Kimani surrendered his firearm and confessed to committing the act.
