Sources in Jubo League said, the prime minister has called a meeting of Jubo League’s presidium members on October 20 to discuss about the upcoming national council of Jubo League, scheduled to be held on November 23. The Prime Minister has forbidden Omar Farooq Chowdhury, and Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shawon from attending the meeting, several sources from Jubo League confirmed. Omar Farooq Chowdhury has been staying away from Jubo League office since the police crackdown against Jubo League leaders for their involvement with Casinos. Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has imposed a travel ban on the two Jubo League presidium members after examining their bank statements. A number of people, including Jubo league leaders, were detained, and then showed arrested after the raids, while many other Jubo League leaders went into hiding to avoid arrest.
