The deceased was identified as Abu Taleb, 32, general secretary of Jubo League Subgram Bandar Committee of Bogra town. The victim's family and acquaintances could not provide any information regarding the reason behind the murder. Taleb was chatting with his friends in front of a soap factory near his home, when a group of 6 to 7 people hacked at him with locally made weapons, said Aminul Islam Dablu, general secretary of Bogra district unit Jubo League. Taledb's body has been taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, said Inspector Rezaul Karim, of Bogra Sadar police station
