The judge in the case against four former Minneapolis police officers charged in the killing of George Floyd removed the county prosecutor’s office from the proceedings Friday, citing sloppy work and saying members of the office are witnesses in the case. The judge later agreed to hold a hearing to allow the prosecutors from Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman’s office to make an argument to be reinstated, according to a press pool report.
