Germany sacked their manager Hansi Flick on Sunday – just nine months before the country hosts Euro 2024 – with a number of names linked to the vacant role. ‘Jurgen has a long-term contract with Liverpool and is not available for the national coaching position,’ Kosicke told German outlet Sportschau. Klopp has enjoyed plenty of success since his arrival at Anfield eight years ago, guiding Liverpool to glory in the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Super Cup and Club World Cup. Liverpool have made a strong start this term, though, and are unbeaten after their opening four Premier League games – winning three of them.
