The German spent eight-and-a-half years in charge of Liverpool before stepping down at the end of the 2023-24 campaign, having previously managed Dortmund. Liverpool raced into a 2-0 lead through goals from Thiago and Jay Spearing before Dortmund fought back to draw 2-2 at Anfield. However, if he was to return to England, it would be with Liverpool because he can't see himself managing a rival club.
