A jury has found Deirdre Morley, who was accused of murdering her children, not guilty of murder by reason of insanity on all counts. Under the law Ms Morley must now be reviewed by a consultant psychiatrist to determine her future care. He adjourned proceedings until May 31 to allow for a report on Ms Morley to be furnished to the court. Dr Wright interviewed Ms Morley on three occasions at the Central Mental Hospital following the killing of her three children. She told Mr Bowman that Ms Morley met the criteria for a finding of not guilty by reason of insanity.
