Smollett was slated to perform at Troubadour for some time, and while the Meet and Greet portion of the event was canceled, he did perform his music. Smollett, who portrays Jamal Lyon on Empire, had strong words for people who disbelieve his report and encouraging words for those who are fighting their own injustices. Smollett has never shied away from talking about love and it's a topic that comes up often in conversation with him. Chicago police investigators are currently searching for two persons of interest who police say might have seen or heard something regarding the attack on Smollett. The concert ended with Smollett singing "Powerful," his duet with Alicia Keys that was also performed on Empire.
