The Justice Department moved to drop its case against Michael Flynn in a major reversal more than two years after the former national security adviser pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. In a motion to dismiss the case, the department said on Thursday it didn’t believe prosecutors could prove the case against Mr. Flynn and sided with Mr. Flynn’s defense team, which has argued that officials of the Federal Bureau of Investigation tried to set him up in a January 2017 interview.
