Two non-profit organisations have collaborated to create a solar-electric microgrid for a free legal aid centre in Bala, Uganda. Solar Electric Light Fund (SELF) worked with BarefootLaw on the free legal aid centre known as the LawBox. The collaboration led to a “Justice Microgrid” designed to power crucial municipal and legal resources in the community. Solar power brings improved water access to villages in BeninBala, is municipality in Kole, in the Northern Region of Uganda.
