K-pop star Moon Bin, who was a part of the boy band Astro, has passed away at the age of 25. His music label Fantagio made an announcement on Thursday, stating that Moon Bin had been found unresponsive in his apartment in Seoul’s upscale Gangnam neighbourhood on Wednesday evening. In a statement posted on Fantagio’s official Twitter page in Korean, the music label announced the heartbreaking news of Moonbin’s passing. Moonbin had joined the Fantagio label’s trainee program at an early age and had worked as an actor and a model before making his debut with Astro in February 2016. Several other young K-pop stars have passed away in recent years, with many incidents highlighting the need for stronger punishments for cybercrimes and abusive online comments.
