A Kenya Defence Force officer was on Tuesday charged with defiling a nine-year-old girl at Mwariki Estate, Nakuru West sub-county. The complainant's mother told the court that Onsoro committed the offence on various occasions until the girl was fed up and broke the news. Isaac Onsoro was accused of committing the offence on diverse dates between September 2 and November 11, 2015. An application by defence laywer Frankline Bosire to defer plea taking to August 23 was denied by chief magistrate David Kemei. But State counsel Hillary Songoiyo said the accused did not provide a convincing reason to have the plea deferred.
