LANGKAWI: Nurul Shazwanie Saad today bagged her second gold medal in the Optimist class, making it four gold medals for the Malaysian sailing squad in the 2017 Sea Games. The young sailor, who had a superb run by winning five out of the eight races, finished first in the medal race to collect 11 points, landing her second gold in the 29th Sea Games. Thai sailor Palika Poonpat won the silver medal after finishing second with a 17 points while Singaporean Radiance Koh settled for bronze. Shazwanie and her teammates won the first gold medal for the national sailing camp after finishing top in the Optimist Team event. Malaysia have a fair chance of adding another two more gold medals in the Optimist boy and Laser Radial men in the final medal races at the National Sailing Centre here today.
