KUALA LUMPUR (June 1): The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) today listed 10 essential services sectors under its purview, which can apply for permission to operate during the total lockdown period. In a statement, KPKT said all companies in the list can apply for a letter of permission to operate from the Covid-19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) 3.0 system via the link notification.miti.gov.my. The sectors involved are pawnshops; strata management for developer management body; strata management for bodies such as JMB (Joint Management Body) or MC (Management Corp); strata management for strata property management (JMB or MC) and solid waste collection (household or commercial, industrial and institutional or construction). "CIMS 3.0 will process all applications for permission to operate essential services during the first phase of the total lockdown period from June 1 to 14, 2021. Yesterday, MKN announced the setting up of a one-stop centre using CIMS 3.0, coordinated by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, to issue operating permission letters for essential services during the lockdown.
