THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala State Electricity Board ( KSEB ) has decided to zero in on Mahindra electric cars for its pilot project aimed at popularising battery-run vehicles in the state. Five persons, including driver can comfortably travel in the vehicle.The electricity board intends to promote electric vehicles by introducing the cars at select places. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has finalised the specifications for electric vehicle-charging points. The charging centres are supposed to have one express charger and two normal charging points. However, it would be possible only when the proliferation of electric vehicles becomes a reality in the state," sources said.
