Kasba: Debris, not pedestrians, take up pavement between Acropolis Mall and Ruby crossing

The pavement between Acropolis Mall and the Ruby crossing is cluttered with debris and bricks, forcing pedestrians to walk on the busy road. ADVERTISEMENTCrushed bricks that are used as a layer in repairing the broken road stretches have been dumped on the pavement, too. A Kasba resident said that with the pavement blocked and a 3ft width of the road next to the pavement still without a top bituminous layer, pedestrians are forced to walk on the road, dangerously close to moving vehicles. “The pavement should not be blocked with debris or crushed bricks. If it is so, we will ensure that they are removed and the pavement is cleared for pedestrians,” said the official.
