Kate Winslet, it was revealed this week, refused to let a director cut a sex scene in which she shows “a bulgy bit of belly”, saying television should show unfiltered images of middle-aged women. She said that Craig Zobel, the director of the TV series Mare of Easttown, had offered to edit the scene and show her body in a more flattering light and although no one knows for sure how that conversation went, perhaps it went like this:Kate Winslet in Mare of Easttown HBOSponsoredMr Zobel: “Hi Kate.
