Photo / SuppliedOutdoor clothing and equipment retailer Kathmandu has appointed the boss of its Rip Curl brand to lead the company. Daly has been the chief executive of Rip Curl for eight years. In a NZX announcement, Kathmandu chairman David Kirk said after an extensive search for a new group CEO and managing director the company had chosen Daly. Kathmandu acquired Rip Curl in 2019 for A$350 million. The transaction was financed through a capital raise of $144.5m, and placement of approximately $32m of Kathmandu shares to the founders and CEO of Rip Curl.
