ALOR SETAR: PAS has decided that it will contest all 15 Parliamentary and 36 state seats in Kedah. In the last general election, PAS contested in eight Parliamentary seats and 24 state seats, winning one parliament seat and nine state seats. However, Pengkalan Kundor rep Phahrolrazi Zawawi jumped ship and joined Parti Amanah Negara, leaving the Islamist party with eight state seats. State commissioner Dr Ahmad Fakhruddin Syeikh Fakhrurazi said PAS had decided to contest all seats in upcoming GE14 as it had ended all political cooperation with DAP. However, the final decision on actual seats contested by PAS will be done after taking into account all parties in Gagasan Sejahtera," he said.
