Politics of Saturday, 24 January 2026Source: metrotvonline.comThe Member of Parliament (MP) for Akim Swedru, Kennedy Osei Nyarko, has called for unity and strategic collaboration among the two aspirants contesting to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP). In a Facebook post, Nyarko emphasised that, despite the competition, all the aspirants are valuable assets to the party. While acknowledging that every aspirant brings unique qualities to the table, Nyarko reminded party members that the NPP’s success is bigger than any individual or personal rivalry. “All the five (5) aspirants contesting to lead the party are all precious assets for the New Patriotic Party, irrespective of the shortcomings of some of them,” he wrote. He urged the aspirants to exercise caution with their public statements during the period leading up to and following the elections.
