First-timers Chase Amira held Kenyatta University Titans to a barren draw in their Kenya Hockey Union women’s match played at City Park Stadium yesterday. However, their efforts were thwarted as Titans played defensively and ensured that their shot stopper Seline Ouma faced no threats. Amira came close to scoring their first in the 25th minute but Nondi’s effort went wide. Amira lined up their best 11 that included international Lorraine Nondi, Margret Macharia, goalkeeper Rachel Kerubo and captain Harriet Omindi. The bankers were determined to emulate their male counterparts Chase Sailors who had earned a premier league promotion on their first attempt and played their hearts out against the Titans.
