But Raila, through Head of CORD Secretariat Norman Magaya, refuted claims he had insulted the Luhya community. In the tour, Raila is said to have referred to those 'dividing' the Luhya votes as 'foolish', but not the entire community. He further said at no single moment did Raila insult the Luhya community, given the strong roots between his (Luo) community and the Western region. Musalia said gone were the days when leaders would hold the Western community in political servitude.
