On Friday, September 1, the Kenyan newspapers reported that some of the people whose irises were scanned by an American firm during the Wordcoin craze experienced optical problems. People DailyKisumu East Member of Parliament (MP) Shakeel Shabbir has revealed that five people who scanned their irises for Worldcoin reported eye problems. The StandardDisquiet has rocked the National Police Service, with junior officers expressing their disappointment over the meagre pay rise they received. The officers noted their pay rise was a drop in the ocean as the country was battling the high cost of living. Police support staff will be getting a pay rise of between KSh 2,300 and KSh 11,020 based on the same review.
