Wiper leader and Azimio co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has maintained that elections in the country will only happen once there is a credible electoral body in place. "Decisions regarding the 2027 ballot will be made only after thorough consultations, and announcements will follow suit," Kalonzo saidHe commended Kenyans for their proactive approach in considering potential presidential aspirants for 2027, acknowledging their foresight in decision-making ahead of political leaders. “Wiper Democratic Movement believes in consultation, this is why Kenyans will agree is a very highly disciplined political movement so we intend to continue that way and within Azimio,” Kalonzo said. “There would be announcements, like now Kenyans are already ahead. This saw the formation of the bipartisan talks team which saw Kalonzo lead the Azimio team.
