Worknesh Degefa of Ethiopia crosses the finish line to win the 2019 Boston Marathon. Defending champ Des Linden, blowing kisses to the crowd on her 2019 finish, came in fifth with an unofficial time of 2:27:00. The Boston Marathon was first held in 1897.
