Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter said the 428km, 400Kv Loiyangalani—Suswa transmission line to evacuate power from the 310 MW Lake Turkana Wind Power project to the national grid at Suswa was on schedule as construction is set to be completed in two months. “I have noted the progress of the line and I want to assure all Kenyans that the line will be completed on time,” said Mr Keter during a routine inspection on Friday. COMPENSATING LAND OWNERSHe was accompanied by Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (Ketraco) top management officials. Construction of the power line started in November 2015 and had been due for completion in December last year.
