A killer fled the scene of a brutal murder by ‘Boris Bike’ after beating a wealthy widow to death and leaving her to burn in a house fire, a court heard. William Kydd, 54, had befriended frail 73-year-old Carole Harrison and may have begun a relationship with her just weeks before her death, jurors heard. ‘The defendant had become friends with Carole Harrison in the weeks leading up to the murder,' said Little. Mr Little continued: ‘William Kydd, or Billy Kydd, was 54 years of age at the time of the murder. Kydd was then spotted cycling away from Ms Harrison's home on a Boris bike after midnight.
