Gemma rushed over to the customer and stayed with him after he became overwhelmed and collapsed in the Bolton supermarket. Her 'lovely gesture' for the regular customer has since earned her a nomination for an Asda award. Posting on Facebook, Asda said: "Well done to our kind-hearted colleague Gemma who, after helping an elderly customer who'd collapsed in store, continued to sort out and pay for his shopping. This was a lovely gesture and we are all very proud of her here." A fourth added: "Well done Gemma, such a lovely thing to do glad you have been recognised for your kindness.
