More than 2000 people attended the annual Kite Festival at Boyn Grove Park on Sunday (September 3). The free event, hosted by Norden Farm Centre for the Arts saw people of all ages take their handmade kite creations and shop bought kites to the sky. Norden Farm’s education officer Jess Thompson said: “It has been such a joy working on the Kite Festival this year, we were able to work creatively with more community groups than ever before, making kites and fabric patches for our puppet's coat. The Kite Festival saw the first outing of Nordenia – Norden Farm’s huge puppet. The Kite Festival is supported by funding from The Prince Philp Trust, Hays Travel, Spoore Merry Rixmand Foundation and The Cyril Taylor Charitable Foundation.
