A Knox Grammar teacher has been found guilty of procuring a child for sex on the gay dating app Grindr after being contacted by a student who was using the app to 'catch pedos.' William Roberto Gulson, 28, an English and drama teacher at Knox, was charged in 2024 with procuring or grooming a minor for unlawful sexual activity. The charge arose from a sexualised conversation on Grindr in which Gulson communicated with a 15‑year‑old girl who was posing as a boy. 'His answers had the hallmark of recent invention,' Mr Donnelly said. That was clear in his internet searches, Mr Donnelly said.
