Both former captains are now playing only ODIs, having retired from Test and T20Is. The demand to see them in action extends beyond India, with fans worldwide requesting more ODIs from the BCCI. Currently, India is set to play three ODIs and five T20Is on that tour. During India’s August tour of Sri Lanka, the BCCI has decided to add white-ball games to raise funds for flood relief. Although initially planned as three T20Is, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has requested ODIs instead.
