Cheslin Kolbe has admitted that he is feeling extremely nervous in the build up to the Champions Cup final against La Rochelle on Saturday. “I’ve been fortunate enough to play in a few finals,” said Koble, who scored a try against England in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final, one of 10 he has scored for the Springboks in just 14 appearances. “Funnily enough, I spoke to my wife last night and said for some reason, the final this weekend just feels much more nerve-racking than the World Cup final I played in. Kolbe believes that thorough preparation will help ease the nerves as the final approaches, however. Since moving to France from the Stormers, Kolbe has played 77 times for Toulouse and scored 31 tries.
